The PG Diploma in Management programme has been designed to not only give you extensive learning but also competitive edge and an unequalled opportunity to unlock and develop your career and build your global network. You will learn, explore, collaborate, follow your interest and pursue future goals in a highly supportive ecosystem.

The programme with its extensive academic coverage which is contemporary with New Age topics and powerful experiential learning interventions develops the skills most in demand by employers so you can add value from your first day on the job.

Your programme has a combination of Business Fundamentals, Tailored Core Credit, Audit, Value Add and Enrichment courses and starts with a preparatory module. In addition to the core subjects that you will study, you are encouraged to pick and choose your courses ie tailorable to craft your specializations. You are offered 9 distinctive specialisations comprising a bouquet of 80+ courses of which you have to finish 12-14 electives of 3 credits each for your functional specializations and this can be in two areas. Additionally you can take non-credit 3 Audit courses from

the same pool of specializations. These can be in areas you have interest but don’t wish to pursue specialization. Also on offer are Value Add programs or Future Skills Program which focusses on Contemporary Business Knowledge and are championed by Corporate Leaders and senior practitioners. In addition to all of the above there are Enrichment Employability Programs which are specially crafted to enhance your employability and are designed jointly by Sparsh group and our International and Corporate partners. These are delivered as separate Certificate programs like : Bloomberg, UX & Design Thinking, Six- Sigma, SAAS & Cloud Computing, Idea to Business, HR Analytics and many such.

The Sparsh Global Business School PGDM programme further incorporates World-Class global exposure through the five phase structure viz. 1: A compulsory International study tour to our partner University and exposes them to the functioning of leading global corporations and institutions.

Program Structure: PGDM (Batch 2024-26)

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at Sparsh Global Business School (SGBS) is a two-year AICTE-approved program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical exposure needed to excel in the business world. Structured across six terms, the program integrates academic rigor with real-world learning, industry exposure, and hands-on problem-solving. With a strong focus on ethical leadership and sustainability, SGBS instills a commitment to inclusivity, equity, discipline, integrity, and a strong work ethic, shaping professionals who lead with responsibility and purpose.

The key highlights of the program are mentioned below:

1. Student & Faculty Feedback Mechanism

SGBS has implemented a comprehensive feedback mechanism to continuously improve the teaching-learning process. A display board on campus and the institution’s website directs both students and faculty to the feedback facility available on the AICTE Web Portal https://www.aicte-india.org/feedback .In addition, course and faculty feedback is collected term-wise through the DigiiCampus LMS ( https://sgbs.digiicampus.com ) at both mid-term and end-term assessments, ensuring a consistent and structured approach to refining academic delivery and fostering ongoing improvement.

2. Corporate Immersion - Mandatory Summer Internship

As part of the PGDM curriculum and in alignment with AICTE guidelines, students are required to complete a mandatory summer internship (Corporate Immersion) to gain hands-on industry experience. This internship offers an opportunity to understand the nuances of the corporate world, apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business challenges, develop practical problem-solving skills, and enhance employability and corporate readiness. It is a mandatory 6-credit course with a minimum duration of 8 weeks. Students must successfully complete this course to be eligible for promotion to the second year. The internship is strategically scheduled right after the Term-III examinations, enabling students to apply their academic knowledge in real-world business settings. Industry mentors guide students throughout the internship, providing a structured and enriching learning experience.

3. Elective Courses through SWAYAM (MOOCs Platform)

In alignment with the AICTE directive, students must have the flexibility to opt for and complete certain electives via SWAYAM (MOOCs Platform). Along with SWAYAM, students can also enroll in and earn certifications from other recognized platforms such as Coursera, edX, Harvard Online, Udemy, NPTEL, and similar platforms. This flexibility allows students to explore a wide range of contemporary subjects and acquire specialized knowledge, enhancing their academic and professional growth.

4. Skill-Based Courses for Employability

To enhance employability, SGBS embeds Value-Added Courses (VACs) in their curriculum, aligned with Skill India, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and leading platforms. These courses cover areas such as Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, Environmental & Social Sustainability, and Generative AI and its Business Applications. Additionally, students work on Capstone Projects, allowing them to apply their learning to real-world business challenges. This approach equips students with practical, industry-relevant skills, ensuring they are prepared for the evolving job market.

5. Social & Emotional Learning - Social Immersion Program

The Social Immersion Program (SIP) at SGBS aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP), which emphasizes experiential learning and the development of well-rounded individuals. Through this program, students collaborate with NGOs and social enterprises, helping to solve their challenges. The program fosters social and emotional learning, cultivating empathy, social responsibility, and problem-solving skills. Students gain valuable insights into areas like sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), public policy, and community development. By participating in the activities of NGOs and engaging with various stakeholders, students gain hands-on experience, deepen their understanding of the social sector, and are prepared for careers focused on creating meaningful change.

6. Communication Skills

SGBS recognizes the critical role of communication skills in business leadership. The Executive Communication and Career Readiness course, as part of our enrichment courses, is designed to enhance students' verbal, written, and corporate communication abilities. Delivered in workshop mode, the course includes multiple modules, live interactions, mock interview sessions, and presentations, with guidance from renowned practitioners. Additionally, students practice on AI-based communication apps to improve their language proficiency and refine their communication skills. By integrating these diverse learning methods, we ensure students are well-prepared for industry interactions and can communicate effectively in professional settings.

Pedagogy and Assessment
